• Surface Stability: Ensure the walkboards and all connected pieces sit on a flat, stable surface.
• Secure Attachment: Always attach the walkboards firmly to trestles, frames or cubes (sold separately) using the provided Aussie Play cleats and hardware.
• Weathering: As a natural timber product, outdoor exposure may cause slight movement or shape changes over time — a normal characteristic of wood. See the timber maintenance guide below.

Timber Maintenance Guide

• Cleaning: Clean outdoor walkboards several times a year using an outdoor wood furniture cleaner. Remove cobwebs, leaves and dirt first, and dry thoroughly in the sun. Avoid high‑pressure washers.
• Sanding & Oiling: Sand and oil as required throughout the year. Weather conditions such as rain and humidity will affect wear rates. Natural furniture oil helps maintain colour and moisture. Usually only a light sand is needed.
• Drying After Wetness: If the walkboards become wet, allow them to dry fully in the sun to help prevent mould and wood rot.
• Storage: For best longevity, store undercover or cover when not in use. Keeping timber out of direct weather and sun will maximise its lifespan.
• Hardware Checks: Hardware may loosen over time. Check periodically to keep the walkboards strong and safe.

These walkboards are suitable for outdoor or indoor use. As with all timber, natural weathering and small cracks may appear - this is not a structural defect but a normal process as the wood expands and contracts. Regular maintenance will help preserve the timber’s beauty, integrity and strength, ensuring long‑lasting enjoyment.
